Rodney Moore Hits Milestone of 25 Years in Adult @therubpr

(Chatsworth, CA) Veteran director and performer Rodney Moore has hit a huge milestone—he’s celebrating his 25th year in the adult industry.

“I shot my first scene December 22, 1991,” says Rodney Moore. “A couple responded to an ad I put in LA Xpress, and I shot them at a motel outside of Disneyland, of all places. I looked at the scene six months later and felt sorry for the poor schmuck who had to edit it. Fortunately, I got better at it.”

Rodney has a rich history in the industry and made several genres very well known. While not the very first person to shoot POV style, he made it extremely popular, not limiting his POV shoots to just BJs, but penetration as well. Many current POV shooters have credited Rodney for inspiring them.

When Rodney started, he was watching porn, and dismayed at the lack of facials at that time. So, he made it his goal to never disappoint anyone who loved facial cum shots. By a strange twist of fate, it just so happened that Rodney was extremely well equipped to create big messy facials. Paul Fishbein, former AVN Owner, dubbed him “The King of Cream,” and well-known porn reviewer Dirty Bob created the phrase, “I Survived a Rodney Blast.” His highly original series “Crème De La Face” made facial cum shots the staple in porn that they are today. The same can be said of swallowing in his innovative “I Swallow” series. His interracial series “The Cumm Brothers” with co-big cummer Wolf Savage combined creative comedy skits with lots of anal sex and huge facials.

He’s been lauded for his work with Hall of Fame inductions by AVN and XRCO. His series are regularly nominated in a variety of categories at various high profile awards shows. In 2002, Rodney started shooting transsexual solo masturbation scenes with his series and web site, “ShemaleStrokers.com,” using the alter ego “Sammy Mancini.” In 2012, he received a lifetime achievement award at the Transgender Erotica Awards (TEAs). Rodney also maintains a stellar reputation in the industry and is known for being ultra-respectful to models from all walks of life and genres—he’s worked with newcomers to veterans, and even helped establish the careers of many well-known performers throughout his career.

“After 25 years, I thought about retiring from performing, as I’m more than twice as old as most male performers in the biz,” says Rodney. “But a good friend said to me, ‘If people still want to pay money to watch you fuck, why do you care how old you are!’ So, I’m not slowing down. In fact, Rodney has taken advantage of the disparity between his age and the girls he does scenes with by doing the successful series, ‘Got it Bad for Step Dad’.”

Rodney’s also a talented musician and posts his popular music videos on his YouTube channel, where he sings and plays all the instruments.

Stormy Daniels’ Wicked / Adam & Eve XBIZ Editor’s Choice ‘Wanted’ Now in Stores – & Earning Critical Raves!

LOS ANGELES, CA – (SEPTEMBER 17th, 2015) – The most ambitious project of award-winning filmmaker, screenwriter and contract superstar Stormy Daniels’ career, the epic two-disc Wicked / Adam & Eve co-production ‘Wanted,’ is now in stores and receiving critical acclaim from the industry’s top reviewers.

The big-budget western saga finds Ms. Daniels supported by Wicked’s jessica drake and the multi-talented Brad Armstrong, who, in addition to performing, provided the film’s incredibly detailed wardrobe and contributed to the spectacular set design as well. Daniels’ sultry screen posse is comprised of 2015 AVN Female Performer of the Year Anikka Albrite, XCritic Best Actress Allie Haze and AVN / XRCO award winner Amber Rayne.

In his Editor’s Choice review of the film, XBIZ Executive Managing Editor Dan Miller raves, “Wicked Pictures and Adam & Eve gambled on a period piece and sharpshooting director Stormy Daniels came up with nothing but aces in this raucous throwback that sets a new bar for porno Westerns! Engaging, sexy and full of badass women, this double-barreled epic hits every target as one of the best adult movies of the year.” To read the full review, go to http://www.xbiz.com/avi/199074.

XCritic’s thoughtful review of the film was equally laudatory, with veteran reviewer Don Houston giving the release a ‘Highly Recommended’ rating and celebrating the director’s devotion to bringing the project to the screen.  “Eight years and many sleepless nights in the making, Stormy Daniels’ ‘Wanted’ took the combined resources of Wicked Pictures and Adam & Eve to fulfill the director’s vision of the Old West in a way that will keep fans happy for a long time to come.” To read his detailed, in-depth review in its entirety, please visit http://www.xcritic.com/review/42603/stormy-daniels-wanted/.

More high praise for Ms. Daniels’ commitment to excellence comes from Peter Warren, AVN’s Senior Editor of DVD Reviews, who declares her one of the most important adult filmmakers of this – or any – era. “A sprawling epic in the tradition of adult’s most enduring blockbusters, ‘Wanted’ serves up everything you could hope for in such a picture: action, romance, an engaging story, gripping performances, and of course a plethora of steamy sex scenes with some of the industry’s biggest stars. It also firmly places Stormy Daniels in the ranks of the most proficient directors in the annals of erotic features.”

For her part, ‘Wanted’ finds Ms. Daniels returning to the blockbuster territory she mined so successfully in such mega-productions as ‘Operation Desert Stormy’ and ‘Operation Tropical Stormy’ nearly a decade ago. “I couldn’t be more proud to have the support of two of the industry’s biggest companies, Wicked Pictures and Adam & Eve,” she says of the mammoth production. “They gave me the creative freedom to make this movie happen. I’m excited to be sharing ‘Wanted’ with the world!”

Daniels and members of her cast and crew will celebrate the film’s release in style next Tuesday night, September 22nd during the grand opening of Tiffany’s On Vine in Hollywood. Located near the iconic Hollywood & Vine intersection, Tiffany’s on Vine is an elegant lounge and nightclub with an atmospheric tree-lined outdoor space ideal for celebrating all things ‘Wanted.’ Limited quantities of the movie and other Stormy Daniels / Wicked DVDs will be given away throughout the evening, and entertainment will be provided by actor and DJ Talon Reid (Justin Timberlake’s ‘In Time’). Members of the adult industry, and press wishing to cover the event for their magazine or website, are encouraged to contact Daniel Metcalf at (818) 266-7910 (danielroadstomoscow@gmail.com) to reserve spots on the VIP list.

Shot and edited in 16×9 HD, the two-disc ‘Wanted’ DVD package delivers the charismatic performances, posh production values and hot eroticism Ms. Daniels’ fans have come to expect and demand. In addition to the epic, 179 minute feature, which comes encased in deluxe packaging, the release also contains extensive behind-the-scenes footage, three Bonus Sex Scenes, a steamy photo gallery, trailers and other exclusive content.

Brad Armstrong’s Dramatic Two-Disc Blockbuster ‘Starmaker’

Los Angeles, CA – (September 16th, 2015) – Filmmaker Brad Armstrong’s ‘Starmaker,’ the anxiously-awaited follow up to his 2015 AVN Best Drama, Best Director and Best Screenplay winning blockbuster ‘Aftermath,’ is now shipping to retailers. Starring Wicked Girls Asa Akira and jessica drake, this explosive look at the dark side of Hollywood is the crowning achievement of a year that has seen the contract director earning critical raves and high profile mainstream attention with such smash hits as ‘Magic Mike XXX: A Hardcore Parody.’

Slated to arrive in retail outlets September 23rd, the acclaimed director’s new release finds him not only returning to, but expanding upon the blockbuster territory he mined so successfully in such Editor’s Choice blockbusters as ‘Aftermath’ and ‘Holly…Would.’ “‘Starmaker’ is by far one of the biggest and best acted films I’ve ever made,” Armstrong reveals. “The entire cast did an incredible job, and I expect to see them all nominated for their performances in the upcoming awards season. With a mainstream-length script and eight sex scenes, ‘Starmaker’  is this year’s epic. It’s three and a half hours of pure adult entertainment.”

‘Starmaker’ is the story of Mia (Asa Akira), a struggling actress who meets Jeremy (Tommy Pistol), an aspiring scriptwriter. Together, the two hatch a plan to blackmail famous movie producer Martin Anderson (Armstrong) by staging and secretly filming his illicit encounter with Mia. Martin caves in to their demands, but his no-nonsense, hard-as-nails wife Elise (jessica drake) is having none of it; she enlists the help of a hired thug (Kurt Lockwood) to put a stop to their scheme and make sure the story never makes it into the press.

For three-time AVN Best Actress award winner drake, the challenge of bringing a character as vividly written as Elise to the screen was one she couldn’t have been happier to accept.  “When I first read the part of Elise, I loved it and hated it all at the same time,” she reveals. “It is by far one of the juiciest roles I’ve played in my entire career, and it aligned me with some of the best players in porn…Tommy Pistol, Kurt Lockwood, Brad Armstrong, and best of all, it led to more sex with Asa Akira! It’s dark and gritty. It is not a love story. It’s full of action, passion, desperation and fucking. With this script, sex, acting, and art direction, the real Star Maker here is Brad Armstrong. I’m honored to have been a part of the project, and I’m grateful to Wicked Pictures for continuing to produce quality feature movies that fans want to watch.”

Akira’s praise for the iconic filmmaker is equally enthusiastic. “Brad Armstrong is a director I’ve looked up to since before I was in the business, so it’s always such an honor when he casts me in something. It was very humbling to be in a movie alongside such great actors. I was definitely inspired to bring my A-game! Brad, as usual, wrote a really exciting script and brought the best out of me – every time he puts me in one of his big movies, I’m both flattered and intimidated, which is a very fun and encouraging combination. Watching jessica play an evil bitch was pretty awesome, and a treat I don’t think many people have had the pleasure of experiencing. Who knew she’d be so good at being the polar opposite of her real-life self? And Kurt and Tommy, both guys who are known to be some of the best actors in the business, did not disappoint. It’s rare that guys can both act AND fuck my brains out, and they most certainly can. And did!”

Shot and edited in 16×9 HD, the two-disc ‘Starmaker’ DVD package delivers dramatic performances and intense eroticism from such A-list performers as Kaylani Lei, Amia Miley, Courtney Taylor, Jeanie Marie Sullivan, Kalina Ryu and more. In addition to the epic 219 minute feature, which comes encased in deluxe gatefold packaging, the release also contains extensive behind-the-scenes footage, three Bonus Sex Scenes, a steamy photo gallery, trailers and other exclusive content.

‘Starmaker.’ It’s the crime saga that will shock viewers. It’s the thriller that will keep audiences riveted. It’s the adult masterpiece that will keep couples aroused. As the director says, “the script, the acting and the intense sex makes ‘Starmaker’ the complete package.”

Adult Performer Advocacy Committee Releases Official Launch Statement

FEBRUARY 4, 2014 – LOS ANGELES, CA – The Adult Performer Advocacy Committee (APAC) officially announces its creation, with its mission the advocacy to maintain and improve safety and working conditions within the adult film industry. An organization created solely by performers, APAC gives adult industry talent organized representation in matters that affect performer health, safety, and community.

The mission of APAC is to provide representation for performers within the adult film industry, and to protect performers’ rights for a safer and more professional work environment. To that end, APAC will review existing health and safety protocols, and initiate new ones as needed; by creating unity amongst adult industry talent, APAC hopes to strengthen the industry’s ability to address current issues and concerns.

As part of the Committee’s launch, APAC released a “Porn 101” video. A DVD copy was released to all industry talent attending the recent Adult Entertainment Expo in Las Vegas, Nevada; the video can also be seen here. APAC will be releasing additional videos that will continue to educate industry performers, as well as the general public, on various aspects of sexual health and awareness.

“Porn 101 is just the beginning in our endeavor to educate,” says Chanel Preston. “It’s important for us to help others gain a better awareness for their sexual health in and out of the industry. This will help keep our industry a safer place to work. We care about our health as performers and it’s time we take more control of it.”

Industry acceptance of the Committee has been strong and positive; AVN covered the release of the “Porn 101” video. Of the video, Mark Kernes writes, “The video itself … is divided into several sections, including How to Get In, Payment, Health, Set Etiquette, Consent, The Internet, and Other Forms of Revenue – and as might be expected, the Health section is easily the longest. But the entire production is so full of good advice that no one working in front of the camera should fail to see it.”

Resources will be made available to new and current adult industry performers in the way of continuing education and communication. Performer meetings will be held the first Sunday of every month; all performers are encouraged to attend and to get involved, so APAC may have a better understanding of performers’ needs and wants, concerns, and suggestions to better the industry as a whole.

“I think that performer education and support are two of the most needed resources for our industry, and I’m happy to do what I can to contribute,” says jessica drake. “I love the idea that APAC is for the performers BY the performers, and not affiliated with any other organizations. I encourage all performers who want to be involved to reach out to us, come to a meeting, and share your thoughts and concerns to help better the business of which we’re all a part.”

Through education amongst performers and the greater adult film industry community, development of ethical best practices, and a fostering of solidarity, APAC is committed to working cohesively with all aspects of the adult entertainment industry and the public. APAC’s goal is to strengthen unity between all performers, and to maintain a work environment where workers are valued, respected, and educated. For more information, visit http://apac-usa.com or follow the APAC Twitter account at https://twitter.com/apacsocial.
