(Hollywood, CA) X-Play has wrapped the principal in-studio production segments for their epic Rocky parody Not Rocky XXX leaving them with just one exterior day of shooting remaining. The adult movie was another production marathon which left cast and crew exhausted but completely satisfied pushing many to their physical and mental limits.
“This was one hell of a shoot and unlike anything we have ever attempted because of the intricate fight scenes,” stated the movie’s director Will Ryder who challenged his actors to actually become the characters in mind, body and soul in roles that often tested their physical endurance.
“You could just tell this was a quality project from the start so shooting until dawn didn’t really bother me because I want to be associated with great movies and I really think this is one of them,” stated veteran actor Mr. Marcus who played Apollo Creed.
Anthony Rosano was cast in the lead role and true to the director’s prediction transformed into Rocky Balboa in what those close to the project are already saying might be his best work. Although in essence a love story, what made Not Rocky XXX so intense was the numerous training, sparring and boxing scenes which were made possible because of the actor’s physical skill levels.
“Luckily all of these guys are trained fighters and in top shape otherwise there was no way we could have made it through the gym rat sequences and the boxing matches,” Ryder admitted.
“Rosano is not the biggest guy in the world but he is a physical specimen with amazing cardio endurance and I have the utmost respect for that aspect of him as well as his fantastic acting abilities,” Ryder continued.
“The guy can play just about anything and I learned that firsthand when I worked with him on the Flintstones and now as Rocky Balboa he completely proved it.”
Female performer of the year candidate Andy San Dimas was a picture-perfect Adrian complete with the bulky clothing, cat glasses and shy demeanor before blossoming into a sex kitten as Rocky’s career skyrockets throughout the story.
“Anytime you work with these guys you know it’s going to be long, long hours but well worth it,” San Dimas who also starred in Not Charlie’s Angels XXX confessed as she continues a torrid schedule that leads her right up until the convention in Las Vegas where many feel she is a favorite to win some big awards.
“Andy San Dimas is absolutely wonderful and we couldn’t have made this movie without her,” stated co-producer Scott David of X-Play.
“I’m hesitant to say this because people might confuse what I’m about to say with hype but this pretty much could be our best movie yet and I want to thank our wonderful cast and loyal crew for not killing me at five thirty in the morning,” Ryder joked.
“But this is it. We’ve had another amazing year but we have nothing left to give. We’re done for the year… no mas.”
Not Rocky XXX was shot at LFP Studios and will star Anthony Rosano, Andy San Dimas, Madison Ivy, Lily Labeau, Chastity Lynn, Vanessa Naughty, Mr. Marcus, Tyler Knight, Jack Lawrence, James Bartholet, Chad Diamond, Mani Cruz, Domz G., Killer Ray, Ron Jeremy and Jack English as Mick when it is released in early 2011.
In January X-Play will release Not the Six Million Dollar Man/Bionic Woman XXX staring Bree Olson and Dale Dabone distributed by Digital Sin.
